Who Said Chicks Don’t Like Cars?

I mentioned previously after leaving Balloona Palooza we headed off for another adventure. We had a car show to go to! To begin with I wanted to take the opportunity to explore a little more of Las Vegas. It seems that I only spend time in my little 5 mile by 5 mile area of town. So instead of driving East on Craig road to connect with I-15, I decided to travel West to attempt to hook up with the 215. So I proceeded to drive West on Craig until it dead ended into a park. I took a left, then a right and poof!! There is was. Lucky me. It appears that the 215 stops at the exact spot where I got on.

So we proceeded on the 215 to loop all the way around Las Vegas back over to Henderson. It was a pretty long drive however it was well worth it to get to see another part of the town. Poor Lexi fell asleep before we got there. I think she fell asleep around Flamingo. She slept until we finally arrived in Henderson.

I found a parking spot right away. I unpacked the stroller and we were off to look at all the cars. We walked about a block through some cars and I became conscious of the fact that it was getting warm and sunny. I stopped long enough to get some sun block on Lexi. Funny thing was that Lexi took off her shoes while in the car. So instead of putting them back on I decided to just go without them. So I had to make sure that they had sun block as well.

We walked the entire show in a little more than an hour. They had some pretty interesting cars. I have to say though that compared to Route 66 in San Bernardino this thing was nothing more then an informal get together. Don’t get me wrong. It was a nice show for its size.

One thing that I found annoying was the number of cars for sale. Unfortunately they weren’t discretely for sale either. Let me explain. At Route 66 large ‘For Sale’ signs are prohibited. You would see maybe a small bit of text stating ‘For Sale’ along with a phone number which was allowed. Nice thing about doing it this way is that poor people like me can attempt to take great pictures of cars we can only dream of. Well in Henderson, there were several cars with huge ‘For Sale’ signs in the windows. You know the ones I am talking about. The loud ones that you can pickup in your favorite super center. It was unfortunate as they take away from and cheapen any pictures taken that have the sign in them.

Now for my two choices of the show. I must say that they both are pretty sweet rides. Some of you may think that my second choice may have been chosen due to a certain outside influence however I assure that this car was truly awesome. Also I learned a valuable lesson from my trip to Route 66. If there is an interesting story posted on the windshield take a picture of it for future reference. Well guess what I did. Enjoy!!
