Nuts for Knott’s!

Thank goodness February is finally over. For being the shortest month of the year it sure was a busy one. I will go into the month of February at a later date I wanted to get some pictures up today for someone that I told I would.

Several weeks ago, actually before I left for my training in San Jose, Lexi, Grandma, Grandpa and I all went over to Knott’s Berry Farm. While looking at my blog this afternoon thinking which pictures and stories I would post I came to the realization that I never sent anyone any information about this little trip. So that is what I will go over today.

Talking with Grandma and Grandpa we had all agreed that we would wait for Lexi to get older before taking her to Disneyland. Now days you have to setup a ‘Go to Disneyland’ fund for your kids if you really want to go. With this in mind we decided that Knott’s would be a better starting place for Lexi’s amusement park experiences, and we weren’t disappointed.

At Knott’s they have an entire section of the park dedicated to younger children Lexi’s age. This made out trip a lot more fun for us as well as her as we weren’t spending our time wondering throughout the park looking for rides that we sized for her. There were a couple rides that we felt confident in letter her ride along and others that she went on with Grandpa. She had an excellent time and appeared to be glowing with excitement before, during and after.

Now without any further a do here are the pictures.

This is the first ride that Lexi went on. This was taken right before it started and she was just so excited. Just a simple red plane that went around in a circle and the kiddos could maneuver it up and down using a stick control inside the ride.

This picture is somewhat hard to explain. They had an island setup with a cave that in order to get into you had to go across a bridge that was floating over some water. Once across the bridge they had a waterfall that you could look through and other little things. Well once we were done and came back across the bridge Lexi wanted to go straight up a rock face they had created. This was taken once she reached the top.

After a couple rides us old folks needed a bathroom and a stop at the water fountain before continuing. While waiting for Grandpa, Lexi just got in the mood to start dancing around spinning in circles in place. I think this picture really show how much fun she was having.

Ok last one for today. This wasn’t really a ride per say. This was a huge bounce station that was shaped like Snoopy. I would estimate the entire thing was 20-30 feet across. This is another picture that I think really shows how much fun she had that day. She really enjoyed this bouncing and jumping like a total goof!!

Hope that you all enjoyed. I am going to try to do another update either tonight or tomorrow with more details about my busy month. Until then love and miss you all!!!
