I suppose a more appropriate title would be ‘Beautiful Summer Dress’ considering that we are well on our way to summer temperatures here in the Vegas valley. I apologize again for the lack of updates in the past couple weeks. Things have been really busy at home and at work.
As most of you should already know Dawn received the results from her bar exam on April 18th. The great news was that she passed. The hardest part of getting her out here has been accomplished. Now we just need to get her a job which seems to have taken care of itself already. When I first moved out here I immediately started to look in the newspaper and other areas for attorney positions. I was surprised at how many I saw advertised. This led me to believe that once Dawn passed the bar exam finding a job wouldn’t be a problem. The events of this week seem to be confirming that suspicion.
Dawn has been applying for both public and private jobs since learning the results of her exam. Well she is here in Vegas this week doing job interviews with two law firms and with Clark County. The law firm jobs were yesterday, Monday, and I must say that I am impressed with how well she has done. One of the attorneys that interviewed her said to her, ‘We are going to make you and offer we are just unsure of what exactly that offer is going to be.’ So in my mind she is already out here just need to move some things. I am so excited to finally have her out here so we can both start to enjoy the city.
Time to move on to the picture of the day. This was taken right before we loaded up to go to school this morning. I came to a realization over the weekend that Dawn desperately needs to move out here because I always dress Lexi in jeans and a t-shirt. Last week I dressed her in a skirt and t-shirt and all the girls at her school thought she was so cute because they had never seen her in a skirt before. Talk about a bad daddy!! So this morning I dressed her up in a little spring dress that Grandma bought her. I didn’t get them in this picture but she is wearing a pair of white tights and sandals. Unfortunately the pony tail didn’t make it all the way to school. By the time I got there she had already removed the rubber band that was holding it in place. She was definitely a cutie!!
