After this past week I can truthfully say that quote has some meaning in my life. Here are some of the great family pictures that I was able to capture over this past week with Lexi and the rest of the family.
This picture was taken in the living room of my Grandparents house. Of course that is both of them there. This is Alice and Frank Gibson. I don’t know how I managed to get this nearly perfect picture but man am I glad that I did. The thing sticking out of the back of Lexi’s head is a walking stick that normally sits behind the chair they are sitting in. In the final version that I printed out I was able to remove it. I just forgot to upload that version here.
Here is a picture with Grandad. This was taken in the morning in the kitchen. This window faces out to the backyard. She was being adorable that day.
Ok this is the last of the ‘family’ type pictures that I have to put up. That is my mother and I in the back row and then the Grandparents with Lexi in the front. We took a couple different pictures in this pose. This is the one that I think that turned out best of them all. The others had Lexi in a different dress that is somewhat a family heirloom. My Grandma has pictures of several of her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids in it.
Looking over the past year I must say that at times I have put my family on the back burner to other things that are going on in my life. I know that there were things that I had promised to deliver on and then fail miserably, particularly in regards to my Grandparents. Call this an early New Year’s resolution but I am going to make a conscious effort to make my family a higher priority in my life in the next and following years.
