Lexi received her first invitation to a birthday party that was being held at one of the local ice skating rinks. It sounded like an awesome idea so we of course promptly RSVP\u2019d.<\/p>\n

The rink that the party was held at did a top notch job on the hosting side of things. The party was held in a room just off the ice. And when the party was over and it came time for skates, receiving a pair from the place was no issue. Dawn grabbed a pair of skates for Lexi and herself and got themselves all laced up and ready to go.<\/p>\n

We initially started with skates for Dawn and Lexi because I had never been skating on ice before, but Dawn had in the past. After a few minutes on the ice, however, Dawn\u2019s sore and cold ankles couldn\u2019t handle the unsharpened blades and I swapped places with her. I would end up spending the remainder of the afternoon on the ice with Lexi. Her and I had an absolutely great time.
